Book My Massage
Massage is one of the oldest therapies known to man. The earliest writings about massage come from China and date back to 3,000 BC. The ancient
Greeks and Romans used massage to preserve health and aid healing. Homer wrote about massage in 1,000 BC. Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine, advised that an aromatic bath and fragrant massage should be enjoyed daily for the maintenance of health. Decadant as this sounds, it was based on Hippocrates' research into the benefits of regular massage.

Today, massage is used to relax the body-mind and relieve the stresses and strains of everyday life. Many modern health problems are caused by high stress levels, and massage stimulates an array of healing processes including causing the brain to produce endorphins, the body’s natural mood elevators and pain suppressors. In addition, massage enhances immune function, detoxifies the cells, increases the flow of qi energy throughout the body, and lowers stress hormone levels.

European/Swedish Massage
This technique incorporates long calming Swedish-Esalen based strokes with the Chinese Medicine healing principals of Shiatsu and Amma Massage. Pressure is medium to deep according to the client's tolerance level. Specific areas of discomfort or injury are targeted during the treatment as needed.

Medical Massage & Sinus Massage
After an initial interview, site specific treatments are targeted to an area of injury or discomfort. The treatment may involve deep friction to the muscle attachments, dysfunction-specific massage strokes, pressure point treatment, strokes focused on drainage of sinus cavities or lymphatic system, and active and passive stretching for muscle spasm areas.

Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage is designed to get into the connective tissue of the body, rather than just the surface muscles. Our therapists use a variety of techniques to deeply penetrate the muscles and fascia, loosening them and releasing tension. Many clients have a more intense experience with a deep tissue massage and also feel that it is more beneficial, because it addresses deep-seated muscle pains. Like other types of massage, deep tissue is most beneficial when undertaken on a regular basis, so that therapist and client can work together to correct long term problems, relax the body, and prevent injury.

Reflexology For Hands and Feet
The systematic application of pressure to reflexology points stimulates the body’s ability to rejuvenate and heal itself. Hand and foot Reflexology treatments open the subtle electrical channels that become blocked due to emotional and physical imbalances.
