New To Yoga? Come join others who have never tried Yoga, but always wanted to learn about this amazing 5000-year-old tradition.

This workshop is specifically designed for people who have never practiced Yoga, always wanted to try, but felt uncomfortable joining a class.  
 
After this workshop, you will be able to walk into Yoga classes with comfort and confidence, embracing the full benefits of Yoga.


Topics Covered:
benefits of Yoga
basic yoga postures (asanas)
how to prevent injury
different styles of Yoga
Yoga studio etiquette
Yoga safety
Yoga equipment
Yoga teacher lingo (Sanskrit words, basic instructions)
breathing techniques
how to dress
the use of Yoga props
how to quiet the mind

You will then participate in a 45-minute Yoga practice!  The atmosphere will be non-judgemental, non-competitive, compassionate, and fun.  
 
Materials:
Dress comfortably, allowing you to move freely.  Bare feet are necessary.  If you do not have a yoga mat, one will be provided.


About Heidi
Heidi started practicing Yoga later in life. As a wife, mom of three boys, and full-time employee, she found herself searching for relief from life’s everyday challenges. After just one class, she fell completely in love with Yoga, ultimately embracing the mind, body and soul connection and finding her smile! Inspired by her teachers, Heidi recently became a certified Rahini Yoga teacher. Her desire to teach and share all she has learned and continually practice is strong and committed, as is her commitment to teaching with compassion, mindfulness, an open heart and . . . lots of smiles!

About Annie
After a debilitating back injury, Annie was drawn to yoga to bring flexibility and healing to her body.  Practicing yoga for the past twenty years, she learned the deeper benefits of Yoga and decided it was time to share this with others who needed healing. Annie is now a certified Rahini Yoga teacher with the ability to bring to her students the many health benefits of Yoga such as quicker recovery time from illness and injury, improved concentration, and ease of movement that comes with toned and flexible muscles. As a mother of four school aged boys, she has found Yoga to be an invaluable source of peace and rejuvenation. Annie teaches a wonderful healing practice, suitable for all.
